In addition to playing Michael Myers in Halloween II and the Assassin in Halloween III, Dick Warlock has appeared in over 170 films as either a stuntman or stunt coordinator. Dick first worked along side Halloween director John Carpenter as stunt coordinator/stunt double for Kurt Russell in Escape from New York.
From there, he went on to either star or do stunt work in 6 Carpenter related films. Halloween II, Halloween III, The Thing, Christine, Firestarter and Big Trouble in Little China. Dick was also the stunt coordinator for Friday the 13th: A New Beginning. Dick has also had many cameos films such as Firestarter, Spaceballs, The Abyss, Casino and Spiderman.
Dick landing the role of Michael Myers during his meeting with Debra Hill and Rick Rosenthal to discuss doing the stunts for Halloween II. When he arrived for the meeting he noticed the mask lying on desk in one of the offices and put it on and went into the meeting just staring at them. Needless to say, that worked and Dick was hired as stunt coordinator and Michael Myers. Dick also played a sheriff’s deputy and drove the car that slams into Ben Tramer.
Dick has since retired from stunt work, but has become a fan favorite at horror conventions around the world.
