P.J. Soles, on the other hand, was noticed by Carpenter after she was in two movies with John Travolta in 1976; Carrie and The Boy in the Plastic Bubble. Carpenter realized she had captured the aura of a happy go lucky teenage girl in the 70’s.
Halloween also helped to boost her career right after her portrayal as Lynda. Pamela Jayne Soles would go on to star in Private Benjamin and Stripes in the years following Halloween. Who could forget her performance in Rock N’ Roll High School? It gave her a chance to work with the likes of Bill Murray, John Candy, and Harold Ramis. You can now find some of her latest work like Uncle Sam ( a horror movie not about taxes!) and the family comedy Little Bigfoot, where she plays a single parent raising two young children.
She even came in and auditioned for the role of Dr. Wynn’s secretary in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, but surprisingly, she didn’t land the cameo role. Her most recent work includes a quick role in the teen black comedy JawBreaker and Rob Zombie’s The Devil’s Rejects.
