Q. Are you happy to be back working on another Halloween film?
Wayne Toth: I’m thrilled to be here, it’s great to be involved with the continuing story of Michael Myers and to see what Rob is bringing this time

Q. how do you feel to be working on another Michael Myers mask?
Wayne Toth: It’s great – I loved being able to add something new to the classic look last time, and to get another chance to evolve it is really fun

Q. Could you let us know how you make the blood in Halloween, and how you make it look so realistic?
Wayne Toth: We use a couple different types – the old standby Karo Syrup formula and also a new type made with a food thickener that is not as sticky. We use this one for the pumping blood since it gets EVERYWHERE! The color we came up with isn’t really that close to real blood – its darker, but it’s more visceral looking, which I think is why it makes more of an impression on folks.

Q. I’m an old school fan of the first two Carpenter Halloweens. You did such a magnifico job of incorporating elements of the Shatner into your vision of Rob Zombie’s Halloween. I trust you completely when it comes to H2. However, the design from Rob’s first film seemed to slip away. I thought NECA bought it, but I never saw a commercially available version. PLEASE tell me you will personally put out a version of the H2 mask that can be acquired by YOUR Halloween fans!!! Thank you!
Wayne Toth: I would love to do that, but since this franchise has been around so long, the licenses required to sell the masks have been tied up for years now.

Q. Is there any big differences to the Michael mask in H2?
Wayne Toth: Even though this one started with a clay copy of the last mask, there are some big changes that I hope everyone will dig – I think it’s pretty striking.
